WEB XR PLATFORM
For creation
and diffusion

The Satellite hub is an immersive 3D social web environment. This transdisciplinary platform aims to promote various cultural and artistic contents and to create synergy by interconnecting them. Experimental and innovative, this tool offers a new way of creating and disseminating virtual experiences.

A new accessible and immersive online experience

The Society for Arts and Technology [SAT] set up the Satellite project in 2020, in response to the health crisis, in order to support various cultural partners in Quebec. Satellite is a platform accessible from a web browser on a phone, tablet, computer or even a VR headset.

New territories free of creation, diffusion and meeting

An immersive place for meetings and exchanges, Satellite transposes us into virtual spaces where the social is at the center of the experience. Satellite is based on Mozilla Hubs, a free platform with a partnership and a large growing community.

Towards hybrid experiences

Satellite offers hybrid solutions in order to live experiences that intertwine physical and virtual space.

Pointe-à-Callière Archaeology and History Museum
Transposition of a museum experience into an immersive virtual web space

This innovation project, carried out in collaboration with the Pointe-à-Callières museum, has made it possible to develop new solutions adapted to the needs of the museum environment. The developments allow the dissemination of the collections in virtual reconstructions and vestiges, edutainment social experiences accessible by everyone and everywhere or even the manipulation of artifacts transposed virtually. The project offers solutions to the temporary problems of the pandemic as well as an evolution towards the hybrid museum.
Virtual Campus
The Satellite project is also an innovative new virtual campus. This hybrid tool offers an interactive environment dedicated to teaching in order to promote the discovery and learning of technological arts. The spaces created promote exchanges and creativity and provide a place for the dissemination of digital creations for students.
